I can't wink

I keep going back to all my old posts and cringing at how horrible they are. OH GOD WHY.

To make myself feel better, I'm going to start mostly a-fresh. By that I mean post an outfit post for the first time in a year. Yeah. So fresh.
Shirt: Target
 Pants: Hot Stuff
Accessories: Thrifted
(I am classy so I take my photos in bathrooms)

I chopped all my hair off this past Wednesday, and this was the outfit I wore to school for the big reveal. Basically I was hot stuff.

Not a day goes by that I don't steal my mom's jewelry.

Shoes: Prima
These are the most colorful pants I own, so I begrudgingly wore them even though it was 90 degrees outside and I had to walk home.

So outfits aside, I'm in college now! That's exciting I guess? As an update, I can now (kind of) ride a bike, I still have yet to drive, I do not have an vintage bathing suit and I haven't dyed my hair blue. While my wishlist is a bit different and my style of posting definitely is, I think it's sort of nice to be back on this blog.

So

it's been a while!
Like a long while
pretty much a year?
woah.
Well a lot has changed in a year, to be quite frank. I want to get this rusty bandwagon rolling again, so heres to hoping I'll enjoy it just as much as I used to.

I've made so many senior citizen jokes in the last month it's getting unhealthy

So, as you all know, it's my senior year of high school. Yay! Time for easy classes and parties every weekend, time for boys and no homework and not worrying at all about ANYTHING!

All sarcasm aside, it's been going pretty well thus far! Signing up for my SAT/ACT respectfully, getting on them scholarships and grants and generally freaking out about the future in random fits of stress and excitement characterize my days, but I still have yet to give up! Here are two of the first outfits I wore to school, and why they were memorable:

This was me on the first day of school! I love the ballerina-type skirt that i stole from my mom's closet.
The moment that I walked out of the car towards the school and begun to feel nervous and insecure, I passed through a group of ghetto-girls and heard an immediate hollering of ""woo! Cinderella skirt!" followed by hyena-esque laughter.
And that's when I knew I was home.

This is one of the few outfits I bragged about with my non-fashionista friends, because while I had picked out the skirt and the orange belt; I couldn't find a shirt to match! Suddenly I pulled this one out and found that the colors matched perfectly!! It was a miracle enough to make my entire day.

I've been so busy with rehearsals everyday after school that i haven't captured many of my outfits on my camera, but honestly the experience is so worth it. I feel giddly happy, and I hope my year can stay this way.
With Love and some nerves,

With the stars as her umbrella

Feeling small today. Let's try looking at things objectively, shall we?
With wonder and amazement,

I'm still trying to decide whether or not i want to be a princess or a prince

IMG_0882

Wow.
Lately I find it increasingly difficult to choose between girly and masculine. Is it so weird to want to wear a suit to homecoming? Can I sustain my bow tie obsession while still loving knee high socks more than anything? And when will I finally snap at my hair, chopping it all off and dying it turquoise? I think I'll find the right balance soon.
With Love,
ARK
